TRAILER TRASH IS:
The story of TRAILER TRASH is the story of a love affair of a band and a bar. TRAILER TRASH has drawn enthusiastic crowds at Lee's Liquor Lounge in downtown Minneapolis since 1993. The band is most comfortable playing traditional country music, but they can swing, rock and groove in a wide variety of styles from the American hit parade.
The guys enjoy turning on new generations to the classic sound of American roots music. Their contagious enthusiasm and obvious enjoyment onstage have earned TRAILER TRASH the reputation of being Minnesota's premier honky tonk band. The group plays a regular gig at Lee's Liquor Lounge on the first Friday of every month.
After seventeen years, Trailer Trash is enjoying its place in Minnesota musical history. They have performed at Jesse Ventura's Inaugural Ball at the Target Center, played the opening of the new Guthrie Theater, and entertained countless thousands at the annual Trashy Little Christmas Show. The band has provided the soundtrack to hundreds of Twin Cities courtships and wedding receptions. Somewhere in that time, the group racked up seven Minnesota Music Awards, appeared in two movies, Herman USA and Dill Scallion and put out six albums.
This is Andy Olsen, the bass player in Trailer Trash and a pillar of the Twin Cities musical community for many years. Andy did an awesome job as our bass player for 12 years, from 1993 - 2005. In July of 2005, he pulled up stakes and moved his family to the green pastures of Nashville, Tennessee, where he will continue make music lovers happy. We sure miss our old friend, Andy, and that sweet Little Rascal Alfalfa way of his, and we wish him the best in his new life in Twangtown.
This is Dan Gaarder, guitarist, songwriter and singer extraordinaire, who played with us for twenty-one years, from 1992-2012. Dan was an original member of the band and integral to the sound that made us successful over the years. After several thousand gigs, and many more good times, Dan finally decided he had enough! We wish Dan all the best with his many other musical endeavors.
